I just read a book by William T. Ligon, Sr. It’s title, Imparting the Blessing, was a reminder to me of one of the great responsibilities of parenthood… blessing your child. Pastor Ligon reminded me that God’s example of blessing, recorded in Genesis 1:28, and His command to the priests of Israel to bless the people in Numbers 6:24-26, is not to be dismissed as Old Testament teaching. There is the distinct act of Jesus blessing the children and blessing His disciples.
I highly recommend this book to all parents and to all who desire to know the truth of God’s Word. His blessing has never ceased for His children… He wants it to continue in yours…
