I’m in the process of writing a book. In it I deal with pieces of my past. It isn’t always easy to watch loved ones make decisions that you know will cost them…. decisions that may forever change their lives.
I’ve watched as opportunities were
offered to do the right thing and a different choice was made. I’ve been saddened as a chance to follow God was presented and the person walked the other way. I’ve wept as those in my past have decided to turn their back on God and their loved ones, only to live with regret.
I pray often for those closest to me, for those that I love and care about. It only takes one wrong decision to leave the path God has chosen for us. Sometimes we trip and fall, but find our way back. Sometimes we lose our way, and take years to find our way home. Sometimes we step into the darkness and never look back.
My prayer is that everyone that reads this post understands how precious they are to God, and that He never wants you to wander away once you’ve found Him. Jesus said that even a shepherd would leave 99 sheep to go find a lost lamb, and God cares much more for you!
No matter where you are in life, no matter what decisions you’ve made, God loves you and wants to help make your life the best it can be! But you need to want that, too. He wants to walk this journey with you, but the decision is ulimately yours.
I pray that you make the right one…
